Welcome to my blog. My humorous weight-loss book,“Does This Diet Make My Butt Look Fat” can be found on Amazon or your favorite book store.
Here’s your diet tip for the week.
If you’ve seen my 1-minute diet videos on YouTube, you know I used to weigh 200 pounds. There are thousands of diets on the market, and I think I’ve tried all of them. After many years, I’ve discovered there is one way guaranteed to help you shed those nasty pounds.
I know counting calories is annoying and boring, besides time-consuming, but here is a fact. If you eat more than you burn off, you will gain weight. If you eat less than you burn off, you will lose weight. It’s simple science.
Counting calories used to be complicated, but now, thanks to technology, it’s not nearly as complicated as it used to be. Here’s how.
First, figure out how many calories you need for your body. You can Google it. Most studies say ladies should never go under 1,200 calories. Guys never under 1,500. I only do 1,000 calories a-day, HOWEVER, I also have one cup of berries, one or two piece of fresh fruit, and unlimited green vegetables. That’s another two or three-hundred calories. Plenty for me, but I’m not a doctor (just a former fat lady). Ask your health-care professional before going on a diet.
Next, learn how to count calories. You can look each food up on your phone or computer, or they have apps on your phone. I’m old school. I carry a little booklet in my purse. If the food comes in a box, can, or bottle, the calorie-count on the back of the package.
Finally, try it for a week and see. Not easy, but not that hard either.
